OUR CHAPTER

MODEL.

Chapter Graphic 1.png

Our campus chapters are the beating heart of the UBI. As a grassroots organization, we’re making change from the community level on up, one donation at a time. UBI chapter members are direct links between their communities and local partnered blood centers, and, with their passion and creativity (and some social media), are increasing young, diverse, and repeat donor rates across the country.

Our chapters:

  • Partner with local blood centers to build a strong network of donors on their college campuses

  • Work with local businesses and community centers to host blood drives and promotional events

  • Educate peers about the failing blood system and need for engagement and donation through campus and community events

  • Use creativity to engage and empower their communities to create a more sustainable future for blood donation

START A

NEW CHAPTER.

Don’t see a chapter on your campus? No problem! Any student — undergraduate or graduate — can create a UBI chapter at their college or university. With the support of the national UBI, chapters will pair up with their local independent blood centers to strengthen community engagement and promote local blood donation. Email us at inquiries@universitybloodinitiative.org to get started!
