In addition to using education to encourage young and diverse populations to donate UBI is also heavily involved in advocacy work. We believe it is not fair to engage traditionally marginalized populations without also fighting to make the blood world an inclusive space. Our major focuses currently are the Men who have sex with men (MSM) deferral, racism in the history of donation, and sickle cell disease.
